"Bentley Hospital Family Birth Centre"

About: Bentley Hospital / RPBG Midwifery Birth Centre

(as the patient),

This midwifery lead practice at Bentley Hospital Western Australia is fantastic. The continuity of care model could not have been more supportive and empowering during my pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Having the same small team of midwives (Frankie, Ming and Bella) looking after me on my whole journey really made me feel so cared for and informed. I felt so comfortable asking questions and they always thoroughly discussed my options and supported my decisions.

This service is outstanding and I am so grateful for everything they did to empower and support me in my pregnancy and postpartum journey. Having them care for me and my baby 6 weeks postpartum was amazing. They provided me with the best possible care they could with the best medical knowledge and practice. They have been an amazing advocate and support network to have during this time and made my first pregnancy an informed and great one even with the challenges that arose in the late stages of my pregnancy.

This service should be available to all Australian women as it truely made my experience one I can look back on positively even with a complicated and challenging birth. I feel so grateful to have had access to the midwifery birth centre at Bentley Hospital and wish to thank them for their knowledge, professionalism and genuine care and compassion. I would especially like to thank my main midwife Frankie for helping me through this amazing, and challenging life changing time of entering motherhood.

I would definitely recommend this service and believe the government should invest in more of this model of care as it is fantastic and was the reason I had a positive birth experience even after going through a very complicated and challenging birth.

Dear polarisbp75,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Bentley Hospital Midwifery Birthing Centre.

It was wonderful to read how supported, and empowered you felt throughout your maternity journey. I’m particularly pleased to hear that the continuity of care provided by our midwifery team helped make such an important and life-changing time a positive experience, especially during the challenges you encountered along the way.

I was delighted to read your recognition of Frankie, Ming, and Bella. Building trusted relationships and supporting women to make informed decisions throughout their maternity journey is at the heart of what our midwives do, and it’s great to hear their care, professionalism, and compassion had a meaningful impact on your experience. Your special acknowledgment of Frankie for her support as you entered motherhood is particularly touching and will mean a great deal to her.

It is also encouraging to hear how highly you value the continuity of care model and the positive difference it made for you and your family. Feedback such as yours reinforces the importance of providing personalised, birth centred care and support.

Please be assured that your feedback and appreciation will be shared with Frankie, Ming, Bella, and the wider Midwifery Birthing Centre team so they can be recognised for their outstanding contribution to your care.

Thank you again for sharing your story. I wish you and your family every happiness as you enjoy this special new chapter together.

Kind regards,

Ben Noteboom
