"Prince Charles Hospital very efficient and professional."

About: The Prince Charles Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

After standing on a stonefish, I drove home to Brisbane.  The initial care, 'just bearable' hot water treatment by SLSC and doctor at Golden Beach, Caloundra. Tetanus injection given. Extreme pain still coming in waves but mostly bearable.

At home had small glass of red wine, went to toilet, felt extremely giddy and collapsed onto floor. Recovered quickly and went and laid down. Wife and adult child considered that stonefish toxin could be a neuro-toxin and took me to Prince Charles Emergency Dept. Prince Charles ED staff very, very efficient, tests done, put on saline drip + painkillers + constant observation+ xray of foot to check no residual spines left in foot. Allowed to go home at 3 AM. Pain reduced but still swelling of foot.
