After being in hospital in regional Victoria for several days due to raised blood pressure and preclampsia in a twin pregnancy, my condition became severe quite quickly and a decision was made that I would need to deliver the babies. Due to a high number of births at the hospital I was in, I wasn't able to deliver my babies there and was rushed to the Angliss Hospital via ambulance around midnight. It was a very scary and traumatic experience as I was not only very sick but also worried about my babies. We arrived at the Angliss a little after 2am and the babies were delivered around 4am. I spent 24 hours in a room with a nurse to myself and was monitored every half hour before being moved to the ward. The medical team including theatre staff, midwives and doctors were amazing. This made a very difficult week a little easier. Both my partner and I were very happy with how caring, reassuring and informative all the staff were.
"Staff at Angliss Hospital made a very difficult week easier."
