I was treated with respect and kindness by the psychiatric students, interns, doctors and nurses. A Clinical Nurse specialist called Don was really compassionate and understanding he told me there are other people like me with my issues and illness and that I'm not the only one. He said that the illness I have is treatable and that I can get better and learn to manage my symptoms better. He told the doctor students that I'm not an attention seeker, but a hurt person and to treated me kindly and with compassion. He arranged for me to go to a ward in the hospital called 2K and the nurses and doctors there were kind and helped me learn about Borderline Personality Disorder or Complex PTSD is its other name.
I really speak highly of the nurses and doctors at the Royal Perth Hospital and commend them on their fine service to patients like me.
