Recently my partner graduated from cardio rehab at Yarra Ranges Health Lilydale. Over the previous 5 weeks he attended twice weekly on a Monday and Wednesday for 2 hours per session. I also attended mainly to gain the knowledge to advance forward after his cardiac event. My partner had a stent implanted at Box Hill Hospital when an angiogram found that an artery was 99% blocked. We both cannot speak highly enough about the care and professional help we both received during this program, and his time at Box Hill Hospital.
After rehab was completed we were informed that the programme was being shortened to one session per week, this will ultimately extend the waiting time for future clients. It seems vital to us after speaking to other clients that this rehab programme is commenced and followed through in the shortest time leaving the patient with as little stress as possible.
This program is totally patient centred and is needed in the Lilydale area, hoping something can be done to keep rehab at the 2 sessions per week. My partner is now back on the golf course and life is good again thanks to Lilydale cardio rehab.
