"You talk & they listen"

About: Broome Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

With four vivacious children & one sick husband I am never far from the ER.

My child had been under the private care in of numerous paediatricians in Melbourne with no answers, only to be diagnosed years later by a GP in Broome ER.  He was flown to PRCH (Perth Royal Children's Hospital) for surgery that very week and thankfully cured.
Broome is the most professional & efficient ER clinic I have ever visited and most importantly they listened.

Dear Desperate Mum

Thank you so much for sharing your story. It sounds like you and you're family have had a difficult time of it, and it is wonderful to hear that things have turned around for your child.

Our team is dedicated, diligent and caring and they do miraculous work every day.

Whilst we naturally focus on the areas we need to improve in, we also need to celebrate our successes.

Your feedback is so important in allowing us to acknowledge the great work being done and to build on our strengths, and it is very much appreciated! I will make sure the team hears of your post and receives the recognition they deserve.

Thank you again.

Sincerely

Wendy

Update posted by Desperate Mum (a parent/guardian)

Dear Wendy,

This is just one of our many experiences with Broome Hospital. One of my children had their tonsils taken out in a private hospital in Melbourne, and it was not good. They didn't eat for weeks post op and had numerous problems.

So when my older child needed their tonsils out in Broome, I was a bit concerned. The doctors reassured me that they have the state of the art equipment for this procedure as the hospital is remote. My child was eating after the op and was fabulous like they didn't even have surgery! Extremely grateful.
