Dear authenticnr57

Thank you for your feedback and sharing with us your concerns regarding your recent admission as an inpatient at Mimidi Park mental health Inpatient Unit.

We take the safety of all patients and staff very seriously and as a result there is a policy of no drug use within the hospital. In order for our staff to be confident of compliance with this policy, drug screening and testing of cigarettes does occur at times, as was the case with you during your stay.

I understand that the results of your drug screen were provided to you and that your cigarettes were subsequently returned to you on your discharge.

I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Kind regards,

Sally Bradley

A/Executive Director
