My son had a full break of his humerus bone Christmas Eve in Esperance. All our paperwork was sent through to Fiona Stanley and we were told we would receive a phone call Christmas day to let us know if my sons surgery would be Wednesday or Thursday. No call, I rang the afternoon of Xmas day and got laughed at and told that it was a public holiday which I was fully aware of. We drove over 700km to Perth on Boxing Day and went directly to the hospital the following day (still no call) My son fasted all day Thursday, to be told at 5.30pm that day that they couldn't fit him into surgery and that they have finished for the day. We were told to come back at 6.30am the next morning as there was no bed for him. We came back at 6.30am and he went into surgery at 12.30pm. He was taken out of surgery and put into recovery at 3.30pm which no-one informed me about and moved to the day surgery waiting ward at 5pm which again, no-one had informed me of. Still know nothing about his procedure and waiting for a doctor. Worst hospital experience we have ever had.
