I was admitted following some numbness which ran from my hand to my face.
I had been concerned that I was having a stroke or something, as I had never experienced anything like that before.
I had a thorough screening in the Emergency Department and then had further investigations during my 2-night admission.
All the staff were very proficient, professional and caring. Every staff member who approached me was very pleasant.
The facilities were clean, comfortable and equipment was in good working order. My room (17) on the ward was very comfortable and surprisingly quiet.
The food was excellent! I was discharged with my discharge summary, script and information about TIA (transient ischaemic attack).
Following discharge, I was called by a staff member of the Day Therapy Unit (as planned) where she assessed my symptoms since discharge. She offered further support which I declined as I did not feel I needed it.
Today I have seen my GP Dr Heather, who had my discharge summary and further investigation results which I had asked to be forwarded to her. She gave me a physical and neurological examination.
