"Box Hill Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Course (Night class)"

About: Cardiac Rehabilitation Program (Wantirna Health)

(as a relative),

The night classes are a fabulous option. You have so much time off work after a heart attack.  And once you get back to work, there are so many follow up appointments which can only be scheduled during the day, so having the night program was brilliant. It reduced one aspect of stress for us. We have our own business and whilst our customers have been amazing, since the heart attack, having to attend a day time class would have been too much.  The evening class enabled both of us to attend and get the benefit of the information.  The topics covered were valuable and educational. It was great to have a mix of presenters.  The handouts mean we can double check anything later on.   The chance to meet other people who have experienced / are experiencing the same thing is invaluable.  This is perhaps the one area of the course that is not really catered for.  As a partner I found it lovely to chat with other partners and hear their story and learn from their journey.

Dear tigergb78

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with the Cardiac Rehabilitation program. This must have been a very difficult time for you and your partner and as you mention, the impact these health events have on people's lives can be incredible.

The team who run this program are amazing and are clear examples of living the Eastern Health values of Patients First, Kindness, Respect, Excellence, Agility and Humility. It will give me great pleasure to share your comments so they see the impact they have had on your lives, both within and post the program. Clearly, there is the added benefit of being able to speak with 'like-minded' people who are experiencing the same, this cannot be underestimated.

Sounds like you are continuing to use the skills, knowledge and resources from the program.

Wishing you and your partner the best of health.

Kind regards

David
