"My mother's safety"

My mother is a resident in the aged care unit at Bombala Hospital.  One of the other residents continues to walk into her room at any time of the day or the night, uninvited.  My mother needs to call for nurses to have him removed.

Just recently my mother woke to find him crawling onto her bed.

I can understand that mum can't lock her room, but there must be a way of keeping this person out of her room, or any of the other residents for that matter.

On one of my recent visits I found that the hospital was locked even for entry, in order to stop this person leaving.  I had to call staff to let me in.  I understand this is common practice now.
