"My wife's ongoing respite stay at your facility for Alexandra Bray"

About: Iris Manor

(as the patient),

My wife has only one hip as her left hip was operated on 3 times, the last time over a year ago for a replacement which hasn't been successful. Then she broke her right leg late last year, so consequently has been unable to allow any weight bearing on her feet. She was transferred from St George Hospital earlier this year and we could not be happier. The welcoming was warm, honest, and very professional. The facilities and staff are exceptional, very caring, kind, comforting and will do anything to make her stay as enjoyable as it is, even on induction stating that - if you want a cup of tea or anything, even if it's at 1. 30 a. m. in the morning it would not be a bother, we just want to make you feel at home. How good was that?

We don't say this praise lightly having experienced over the last 3 years many respite and re-hab facilities having experienced a broken bone in her lower spine, 2 knee replacements, a shoulder reconstruction, a right hip replacement, and now a broken leg, all due mainly because of osteoarthritis causing some falls.  We can honestly say Iris Manor is by far the very best of them all of the services my wife has stayed in over that time.

We have many friends all in a similar aged bracket of mid seventies or over and facing the prospect of having to find an aged care or respite home for either themselves or relatives and friends and we have told them about your magnificent facilities. In fact I have already told one friend I know whose wife is in the throes of dementia. Unfortunately I was too late as he had already committed and admitted her to one. But believe you me, we cannot praise your Home highly enough. I guess you get the idea of how we feel about it.
