Lack of update after loved one in recovery for over 3hrs. When asking ward nurse, they advised they'd follow up when they have time. Really? I believe this is poor...45 mins, still waiting. 

No compassion for the emotional distress one is under to advise them what is going on.

Simply lost my wife in the system for over 11hrs...

Don't even have a selectable option as husband, wife or partner regarding who I am.

Let me first say how sorry I am for your experience and hope that your wife is doing well. I certainly agree with you that being uninformed about the progress of a loved one can be a very stressful experience. Our staff are very aware of the importance of communication and making sure we look through the eyes of our patients, consumers, carers and families to understand their experience. We believe it is important that we provide safe, timely, effective person-centred care and appreciate feedback when we don't get it right.
