About: Prince of Wales Hospital / PB2W - Ambulatory Care & PDL

(as the patient),

For 6 months, I was going to the Prince of Wales Ambulatory Care Unit once per month for an infusion (3 to 4 hours) to try to head off Motor Neuron Disease (MND). Unfortunately, the treatment did not help but the staff at the unit were so nice. They could not do enough to make you feel comfortable. They chatted and smiled all of the time without being over the top. They made the experience very comfortable for both myself and my wife.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us and share your recent experience within the Prince of Wales Ambulatory Care Unit. It is pleasing and rewarding to hear that the staff within the Ambulatory Care Unit were caring and compassionate and went out of their way to ensure your comfort whilst having your infusions. It is reassuring to hear the courteous manner in which the staff welcomed & cared for you and your wife.

We encourage all our staff to deliver care in a compassionate and respectful manner. It's reassuring that the staff that looked after you emulated and delivered care in a professional way to ensure your safety during your treatment course.

We are saddened to hear this treatment did not have the effect you were hoping for. We hope you are in good health since finishing this treatment.
