My father required transport to Redcliffe Hospital late last year for a non-emergency procedure. I reached out to Wesley Mission. Wesley Mission required a grossly excessive process to be completed, including having an employee of Wesley Mission visit my father's aged care facility and do a 'risk assessment' of that site and also the hospital. My father simply needed to be picked from his aged care facility and driven to a hospital and then returned accordingly. Does Wesley Mission conduct a 'risk assessment' on every meter of the road they must traverse between my father's aged care facility and the relevant hospital - considering the risks of being injured are far greater on the road than anywhere else. Pathetic, it seems to me to be the worst service I have ever encountered.
"Do you really need a risk assessment to transport a patient to hospital!"
