"Care at Sydney Eye Hospital"

(as the patient),

Nurses were very good and the social worker went out of her way to help. A nurse named Karen and another young girl who wasn't a nurse but seemed to be doing training were really good. Paperwork for aftercare was marvellous and easy to follow, as I usually have trouble following things like that. 

The food was dry, the bread was stale, I couldn't eat it. 

They provided a phone number for if you have any problems after surgery, I called and left many messages but have had no response, I was worried so I ended up ringing a doctor and was sent to an optometrist to have some tests done. There's no point in having that phone number if the patient is not going to get a response.

In regard to our staff, I am pleased to hear that our staff provided you with good care and, I am disappointed to hear that the food was dry and stale. I will share your comments in relation to the quality of the food with our catering manager.

It is concerning that you were unable to contact anyone on the phone number you were provided with, this will be referred and reviewed by the manager.
