"Hospital admission"

About: Busselton Health Campus

(as the patient),

I went to Busselton Hospital for a day procedure. I found the nurses to be friendly and caring. I wish I could remember names because one in particular, the nurse who admitted me, was very friendly and genuine and spent some time talking about other matters besides my admission. Afterwards, when I was out of recovery, the same nurse was there and she was helpful and explained things clearly.

Even when I was in the theatre room and the anaesthetist was putting the needle in my arm, a kind nurse saw I must have looked nervous and rubbed my arm, which was comforting.

Overall, very impressed with how I was treated and I think the nurses do a wonderful job!

Dear orionxk44,

I am glad to see that the nursing staff supported you through the whole surgical experience as we know that this environment can be quite confronting.

We find if patients are more relaxed and informed then this does assist with their recovery.

Our staff are proud of the service they provide and want to make patients and their families as comfortable as possible.

The Theatre Manager has passed on your feedback to the team and they are very delighted that they could assist you in this way.

yours sincerely

Jan
