I was sitting in the outpatient clinic and I was astonished at, what I felt was, the rude and dismissive nature of the administration staff.
I witnessed two staff members walk past and dismiss an elderly person who was simply asking where a room number was. When they finally addressed the elderly person, I feel that their tone was rude and impatient. It seemed as though they were not listening to the elderly person's request because the attendee walked off to check if they had been called.
This is just one of the examples I witnessed while waiting.
It seems to me that the staff members that I could see and hear need serious sensitivity and customer service training.
I feel that the department needs an overhaul. In my opinion, some staff members have been here too long and they seem too comfortable in their positions to care about the level of service they are providing.
