"Birthing experience with our first child"

I was being induced to have my first baby at Wonthaggi Hospital. The care and service provided beat all of my expectations. I was blown away by the lovely staff members, their compassion and dedication to their jobs. 

My induction turned into a Caesarean which was unexpected. Not once was I worried or felt as though things weren't under control. My doctor and midwife explained everything to me every step of the way, held my hand and ensured I was ok. 

I was a little nervous after hearing of other birthing experiences from other hospitals. I feel extremely lucky to have had such a positive experience. I could not have asked for a better birth considering it didn't go as expected.  

The aftercare I received went above and beyond. I am so glad I drove that little extra distance so I could use the wonderful services Wobthaggi Hospital provides. 

These staff members deserve great recognition for the amazing work they continue to do!
