Recently I attended Exmouth Hospital with what I had self diagnosed as slight asthma which I had had for about 2 weeks.
On arrival at reception I was treated extremely courteously by the receptionist and after completing mandatory paperwork was referred to the triage nurse who was very competent and thorough. After basic testing she referred me to a young lady doctor who performed additional checks. The doctor then assisted her in the diagnosis and examination.
It turned out that I had atrial fibrillation, with fluid on the heart and lungs. After consultation with my cardiologist, it was decided that I be admitted for initial treatment pending transfer to Perth by the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
During my two night stay, the attention and treatment that I received from the whole team (doctors, nurses, catering) was far and above that I believed to be possible.
I was transferred back to Perth in much better shape than I was when I attended for my asthma.
I cannot speak highly enough of the treatment and service I received during my stay.
"Excellent treatment and service"
