"Staff demonstrated belief in me"

About: Lives Lived Well – Dubbo (Roadmaps)

(as a service user),

I am a young Aboriginal person who attended the Roadmaps in Forbes, after being released from gaol.

Roadmaps staff demonstrated belief in my when no-one else did. Through the program I have started jogging, going to the gym and making different, better choices in my life.

I want to let other young people know to stay away from ice - I was hooked from the very first go!

Dear uniformte79,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know how we are going. I am so pleased you found Roadmaps to be a service which related to you, your goals and was able to support you when you were just out of gaol. I'll let the staff know that they have made a difference.

Ice is a problem in many communities, and I know that dependence on methamphetamine is very quick!

Well done on recognising that you needed help, and for finding a drug and alcohol service in your area.

Keep it up, and always know you can call Lives Lived Well on 1300 596 366 if you need more support.

Kind regards,

Lara McLaughlin, Quality Coordinator
