I had to go to the Emergency Department (ED) at Geraldton Hospital to get my burns redressed. The ED was very busy, the triage nurse wanted to ensure that I was seen by someone that had experience in dressing burns.
The nurse Janet was fantastic, she arranged for a doctor to view my burns and they then liaised with Fiona Stanley Burns Unit as to ensure the correct dressings were used. Nurse Janet would have worked through her lunch break but was friendly and in no rush to ensure my wounds were cleaned and dressed.
A referral was done by the doctor to the dressing clinic and I had a call within an hour to make an appointment. This was a weekend so I did not expect contact until the weekday.
Just a massive thanks for the professional and courteous treatment from the team at Geraldton Hospital.
"Compliment"
