(as a relative),

My parent collapsed at home and we were taken by ambulance to Prince of Wales. On arrival to emergency, the ambulance people stayed with us and made us feel very safe. Staff took over and we cannot speak highly enough of the treatment, the time they took and the patience they took dealing with my elderly parent. They had to stay overnight and once again the care and respect the nurses showed was very reassuring for me.

I would like to thank all the Drs and nurses and other staff for all their care and professionalism that was shown to me and my parent throughout this ordeal.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us to share your recent experience in the POWH Emergency Department. We hope that your parent is well and recovering from their recent visit to the Hospital.

We are very pleased to hear that your parent was treated with respect and kindness. We encourage all of our staff to strive to deliver safe, compassionate and empathetic care to all patients in our care.

We acknowledge your thanks and appreciation of the professionalism of our staff and are happy to read that the staff provided great reassurance to you and your parent at what can often be a very distressing time for families. We will make sure that your appreciation and thanks are passed on to all the staff who cared for your parent during your visit to Hospital.

We sincerely thank you for taking the time to write to us to share your experience and acknowledge the kindness and professionalism of our staff. We hope that your parent and yourself are now improved in their health.

Thank you for response. My parent has had to stay a few days in the cardiac ward and once again the warmth and respect shown by staff has blown us away. I feel compelled to also mention that an elderly patient opposite to us just been presented with a cake and a group of staff singing happy birthday, which is way above what they have to do or even to take the time out of their hectic schedule.

So once again I thank the POWH for their incredible dedication to there patients and the kindness they have shown us and all the other people here in a stressful time in our lives.
