(as the patient),

I cannot thank the staff in day procedure and surgery enough for their treatment of me. They were attentive, thorough, explained things step by step, and were professional and very passionate about patient care.

I believe it is the dedicated staff in hospitals that "make or break" the experience for a patient.

Dear Karma2019

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story with us. In turn, we have shared your experience with the staff in our Perioperative Suite.

It is our aim to deliver care and services that keep the person at the center of their care. This is a major focus for us and we are currently launching a major improvement program titled "Person Centred Care". This program will involve staff training and learning even more from patients and clients who need our services.

My name is Heather Wilson, I am acting Nurse Unit Manager of the Perioperative Suite, which includes Day Procedure and Surgery.

Thank you very much for your positive feedback. All staff in Day Procedure and Surgery aim to maintain a very high standard of care and professionalism during all aspects of a patient's journey, and your feedback is greatly appreciated.

We are very mindful of the feelings that can arise for patients coming into our department and endeavour to make it as pleasant and informative as possible. I will pass on your kind words to all the staff.
