"Paying for appointment"

About: Albany Health Campus / Cancer Services

(as the patient),

Have had on numerous occasions had surgery at the hospital under a public patient scheme. Post breast cancer survivor twice. Was unaware that I would have to pay nearly hundreds of dollars to see the Anaesthetist Pre-op. At no stage was this information passed on to myself. I was shocked as I approached the reception thinking that I only needed to show them my medicare card.
