"Handling change of carers"

About: MercyCare Community & Home Support Services

(as a service user),

My previous carer has resigned and I haven't been assigned a new carer yet which is quite frustrating and it's making me quite jumpy. They say they will let me know when they have one on board, however, I am flying overseas soon and again early next month. I do not want any unwelcome surprises.

I have a right to know who is coming into my house.

Thank you for your comments.

I am sorry to hear about your frustrations and I am very keen to assist you. We will always try to provide you with a consistent and regular Support Worker or team of Support Workers who are known to you and to work with you to find a new regular Support Worker if that is required.

I am sorry to hear that your regular support worker is no longer working at MercyCare. Please get in touch with us so that we can look more closely at your individual requirements to ensure that any disruption is kept at a minimum.

I understand that it is important for you to know who your support worker will be, so please get in touch with our team and we will do our very best to find a solution that is suitable to you.
