This year I did the group at Caboolture that is run by Lives Lived Well. The staff were so nice to me and really helped me a lot. I was nervous to go but I am glad I did.

I really liked that they had a guy come and talk to us about how he once used drugs and even went to jail but now works for them. His story really gave me some hope that I can do it. He spent time with me having a coffee after and gave me motivation. Such a nice person and I believe it is such a good company to give him a job so he can help give us the hope and see someone can do it.

I'm 3 months with no using now so thank you to everyone there.

Thank you for telling us part of your story.

It is great that you found Lives Lived Well staff welcoming and helpful. Being nervous is to be expected when you are taking a step into the unknown such as attending a group and it takes a lot of courage to do that. Your meeting with the guy who had personal experience sounds very significant and has helped you to find the hope and confidence to change your life in the way you have.
