About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Aged Care Assessment Team, Geriatric Medicine & Ward 6D

(as the patient),

Appreciating the care for your patients under the services of Fiona Stanley Hospital.

I feel when necessary health information requires the attendance of this individual patient, noting distance factors, could this not be taken into consideration and allow this updated health report to be transmitted to the patient's own GP?

I believe it is quite frustrating for elderly patients in my opinion, having to arrange necessary transport, to then spend 2-3mins listening to their health report given by a Dr at Fiona Stanley Hospital.

I believe much kinder consideration could have been achieved through visiting their own GP, saving everyone's time & effort.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I would like to apologise for your appointment that you describe as being unnecessary and note that you feel that you could have received the information from your General Practitioner.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to understand the reason for the decision made to bring you back to hospital. I can only apologise for your excessive travel but I am unable to comment on whether it was avoidable.
