"Kind and pleasant staff"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

After experiencing severe chest pain one night recently, I was taken to Fiona Stanley ED.

There were three clerks at the window. I was asked by one of them to explain my pain and after a few questions, I was taken to emergency and immediately attended to by a nurse and a doctor. They were efficient, kind, caring and was trying to make me feel comfortable. The team was so quick and efficient I didn't even realise that the doctor had stuck a needle in my arm and already taken blood for testing. Throughout all the testing and X-rays there were pleasant conversations about my condition which, I believe was to make me feel relaxed and it certainly worked.

After some aspirin and panadol the pain was gradually getting better. One male nurse, in particular, was amazingly caring and I believe the hospital would be a better place with a few more of them. I was then taken to the short stay area for further blood tests and finally after five hours, given the all-clear.

The entire team including all the assistants were kind and pleasant. The doctor and the entire team that attended to me are a credit to the Fiona Stanley Hospital.
