(as a parent/guardian),

I was absolutely disgusted with wait times at Bunbury ED. It took five and a half hours for my child to see a doctor after a head injury. We were in the waiting room the whole time, which got uncomfortable after a while in my opinion.

Thank you for taking the time to post on Patient Opinion. I am sorry to hear about your recent experience where you waited for a long period in the waiting room with your child.

We have been experiencing larger than usual numbers of attendances recently, which has impacted on wait times.

The wait time you have described does appear excessive and I would like the opportunity to further investigate. To enable this, I would encourage you to contact our Customer Liaison Officer on 9722 1521 so we can get your details.

I hope that once you were able to receive treatment inside the Emergency Department, the staff were courteous, compassionate, and delivered the high-quality care that we pride ourselves in.
