"A desperate parent"

About: Wonthaggi Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Discharged from BCH recently one night and told they can do no more for my child! I feel no one is listening to me or my child and something is wrong, very disappointed and frustrated. I understand services are limited in regional areas but I feel we should have agreements with key metro hospitals to assist but no we have to present at another emergency department and start the process all over again.

I apologise that we are currently not equipped to provide all services and I can reassure you that we have had several discussions with Monash Health about getting some local Paediatric support at BCH and I am actively still progressing this behind the scenes.
