"My admission to the A and E department"

About: Royal Perth Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I had been having problems breathing for some time, but things took a turn for the worse- my chest felt tight, and my sleep pattern was getting broken up. In the five days prior to going in, I was only getting about three to four hours sleep a night, with prolonged bouts of wheezing and coughing in between. I went into the A and E department, and was immediately admitted. It was such a relief, as I was taken over by the fantastic team, who then gave me all the help I needed. I was especially grateful for the efforts they made to find the cause for my condition, and as a result my life has started to return to normal- especially my sleep!

Dear UK visitor,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on the fantastic care you received within our Emergency Department.

I have passed your great feedback onto our staff in the Emergency department with my thanks on your behalf.

I am so pleased to hear you were admitted quickly, got the help you needed and the staff found the source of the problem.

I hope your recovery has continued since you were discharged.

Best wishes,

Dr Lesley Bennett
