"Waiting for surgery"

I have a toe that had an infection from a pedicure. My GP had to remove the toenail. I had 7 lots of antibiotics. I had to go to my GP every 2nd or 3rd day for dressings.

The last time I went to my GP, they were concerned about my infection in my toe. They referred me to a Dr at a private practice I saw that Dr, they requested an ultrasound done to my legs. They also told me if the pain gets any worse, to go to emergency at Gosford Hospital, which I did recently.

I have blockages in both legs and my toe has now gone black and is very painful. I believe the Dr doesn't want to operate for 6 weeks. 

I cannot afford to be off work that long. I have not had a smoke for a week now. I feel I am being shoved aside because I am a smoker. I am still in a lot of pain. The Dr wants to send me home where I live alone, and come back in a week. 

I need to get back to work, I have used all my sick leave and annual leave, so I will be on leave with no wages. I just want the treatment done so I can return to work. I've been in bad pain since a few months ago and I just can't handle the pain anymore. All my family have moved away from this area, now living in another state. I have been relying on close friends to drive me around, as I have not been able to drive because of my toe. I hope you will be able to help me with this.

I have had all pre-op tests done. I just don't understand why nothing is getting done now. I feel it is because I am smoker and I have to go to the bottom of the list.
