"Car parking"

Whilst I understand there will never be enough car parking in a hospital. In my opinion, the elderly who can drive are unable to make it un-accompanied to their appointment as they can't walk from the car to the Allied Health building.

I believe it would be great to have a concierge service, even if it was three hours a day, to cover the people who are independent enough to drive, to attend their appointments without family members requiring time off work.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback.

I absolutely understand the issues with car parking and agree that the current car park structure and our undulating slope makes it very difficult for frail people.

We are doing much to resolve the issue - the biggest strategy being we have just commenced a five-month process to create 130 plus additional car parks on the site - many of these will be on flat ground, with good disabled access, close to our entries.

In relation to the concierge, we have looked at this before and there are a few issues associated with this - but just so you know, if you have an appointment and need a hand in from the car park, you can always ring the switchboard and ask for a porter to bring a wheelchair to your car to help the client in.

I will make sure we better communicate this support and please hang in there, I am truly hoping we will go to resolving this issue over the coming months.
