"Facilities for outpatient parents with newborns"

About: Queensland Children's Hospital

(as a relative),

While the Hospital has many wonderful attributes, I believe it is lacking in providing breastfeeding areas for mothers with babies attending as an outpatient.

The only room available was up on the 7th floor while the clinic we needed to attend was on the 2nd floor. There is also no area to sit with a child/newborn who has not been vaccinated.

We were forced to sit with the general public with a 2-week old baby (with severe renal problems) who has not yet been vaccinated. I feel this needs to be addressed promptly to avoid at-risk babies from becoming sick/sicker.
