My wife was hospitalised for a partial mastectomy and the treatment we both received was fantastic, in my opinion.
The whole time I was waiting during her operation and recovery, I believe was exemplary. The staff and nurses kept me up to date with what was happening and how long things were going to take. I was offered drinks and magazines to keep me occupied.
The whole experience from when she had her 1st mammogram through to the visit with the oncologist has been quick and relatively stress-free.
She had a magseed insertion which, from our point of view, is so much better than the older hook wire system. The procedure is quick and according to my wife, it was relatively painless. The magseed was inserted a few days prior to the operation, which I feel lessened the stress on both of us on the actual hospital day.
