"Recent visit to the HUB in Phillip Island and admission at Wonthaggi Hospital"

About: Cowes Phillip Island Health Hub Wonthaggi Hospital

(as the patient),

I recently attended the HUB at Phillip Island as I was unwell. I was very impressed by the very professional way in which it was run, given the current health crisis.

I then attended Wonthaggi Hospital as instructed by the doctor from the HUB for further tests.

As a clinician myself, I was really impressed by the level of care I received. All the staff were very caring from the security at the front door, through to all medical, nursing and support service staff.

I would like to mention a few special people that really stood out:

The evening duty nurse Leslie, in Short Stay and the nurses Codi and Steph in the medical ward who cared for me.

A lovely lady from domestic services who went out of her way to make me a lovely sandwich (my first food in two days).

Dr Stan and the pharmacy intern (sorry I'm unsure of her name) who made a speedy discharge possible.

Dear aprilpx76,

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. It's always really nice to get positive feedback but it is particularly special when we get the tick of approval from fellow clinicians who know exactly what should be happening.

I will make sure the particular staff you mentioned get a copy of your feedback - I am sure they will all be really pleased. I hope you are recovering well.

All the best,

Jan
