"My experience at Cowes Health Hub"

About: Cowes Phillip Island Health Hub

(as the patient),

I presented at Bass Coast (Cowes ) Health Hub on a public holiday weekend a few months ago. I was in a lot of pain & presented with a range of fever-related symptoms. I was attended to with pain relief immediately & triaged.

It was a fairly busy night & the wait was long but at all times I was checked on & attended to. My visit resulted in numerous tests inc. bloods. The next day ( the public holiday) I was called & told to present directly to Emergency at my local hospital in Melbourne. Calls were made & they were ready for me, avoiding the 4-hour wait.

Most impressively, the attending dr at Bass Health rang this hospital twice to check on me & to check the diagnosis. This wasn't absolutely necessary & I felt it was beyond the scope of their care responsibilities. I was, at it turns out, very ill & very grateful for attending Bass Coast Health Hub Cowes to get the ball rolling in my care plan. Big thank you from me.
