The staff and the Royal Perth Hospital have been totally brilliant over my 2-year journey with treatment.

It seemed that nothing was ever a problem and as far as I’m concerned I couldn’t ask for a better team looking after me. My oncology nurse would come in 20 minutes early for my appointment so I was able to travel home on the same day.

My family and I will be ever so grateful for everything they have done. I have now had my treatment changed to my local hospital and I will definitely miss the staff at Royal Perth hospital.

Thank you so much for sharing your story and letting us know how well your team have cared for you throughout your treatment journey. It was lovely to read how the oncology nurse was prepared to go ‘above and beyond’ her usual duties to make your experience with us as smooth as possible and make it possible for you to get back to the comfort of your own home on the same day as your treatment. I am pleased for you and your family that your care has been transferred closer to home and hope that reduces the burden of your treatment a little.

I have shared your story with our Oncology Department who I’m sure will join me in wishing you well with your ongoing care and recovery.
