I arrived on time for my appointment but was kept waiting for almost 20 minutes!
My tour was comprehensive but the room I was shown that was likely to become the one for my loved one, in my opinion, was sparse, unwelcoming and just clinical.
When I asked about furnishings such as a television and a comfortable chair, I was told I would have to provide them at my expense. There was no air conditioning and just a radiator for warmth, meaning in the Summer the room, I believe, would be rather uncomfortable and hot and in the winter as there are no individual controls for the radiator, possibly the same - hot and uncomfortable.
I came away feeling that I may as well place my loved one into a hospital ward as, in my opinion, that is exactly as the place felt and smelt.
