I had to phone the Margaret River hospital and seek advice if I required COVID testing. Sandy the Nurse manager answered my call and spent so much time carefully explaining the criteria to me. She was so patient and kind that I felt so much more confident and assured. Sandy explained the difference between symptomatic and asymptomatic testing and also self-isolation and what that means for myself and my family. I cannot begin to explain how she made me feel and how fearful I was initially. I ended up having the test and it was completely fine and my results came back negative.
In my opinion, it is no wonder WA has done so well when our health professionals are like this, ensuring the community members are well informed by a local person is fantastic.
I believe Sandy is an asset to your organisation and I bet she has dozens of phone calls like this every day and is exactly the same to every person.
Thank you!
"Great advice"
