"Poor service delivery"

About: Geraldton Hospital

(as a service user),

I needed an appointment for an injection under ultrasound in my shoulder but was told it could not be done because the Nurse was on leave!

Does a Regional Hospital’s Radiology Department depend on only one Nurse? In my opinion, is it fair to have people suffer pain and discomfort just because a Nurse is on leave? Can a Radiologist not set up their own sterile field and give an injection without a Nurse present?

I will take this as far as I can - up the management chain. In my opinion, this is poor management and unacceptable poor patient support and care.
