"Lost service"

About: Broome Health Campus / Allied Health

(as a service user),

Sadly due to COVID, Broome mums have lost the women's and children's drop in physio service at Broome Hospital. Totally understand why it had to be closed during peak precautions but now I believe we need it back.

I was told to get a referral, I have done this but I have now been waiting to be seen since early April.

Sarah, Annie and the rest of the team have incredible knowledge. It was an amazing service that helped all mothers provide the best care for their children.

Please open this service up again.

Dear BroomeMum1

Thank you for your feedback regarding the Physiotherapy drop-in clinics at Broome Hospital. We really do appreciate the time you have taken to share your experience with us.

As WA remains in a pandemic response phase, we are unfortunately not able to provide some of the services that we usually provide at the moment. Regrettably, the drop-in Physiotherapy clinics have been temporarily affected as we work on adapting to a COVID environment.

We hope to have the drop-in clinics up and running as soon as possible however, as we know how important they are for our patients and their families, particularly for our post-natal clients and the infants who use the service.

If you are not aware, there is currently an option for you to link in via phone or video call during the drop in clinic appointment times. If you would like to pursue this option, please feel free to call us on 9194 2258. Alternatively, you can be referred and waitlisted for a 1:1 appointment with the Physiotherapist.

If we can help you with anything further, please don’t hesitate to contact Joline Falls. Joline is the Acting Allied Health Manager in the West Kimberley and can be contacted on 9194 2258 or via email at joline.falls@health.wa.gov.au.

Thank you, again, for your kind words and for taking the time to provide your feedback. We will make sure that Sarah, Annie and the Physiotherapy team receive the feedback you provided.

Kind regards,

Wendy McKinley
