(as a service user),

I had to go to the emergency department at Sydney Eye Hospital. It was about the best emergency department experience you could hope for in my opinion. Everyone from the person doing the COVID-19 screening at the door to the triage nurse and doctors was friendly, empathetic and proficient. I was seen very quickly and received excellent treatment. They even have secure mobile phone charging stations for patients in the waiting room!

This is so good to hear! Both the staff member to greet you at the door and the mobile charging stations are a new initiative, with assistance from the Ministry of Health, aimed at improving patient experience.

The emergency department manager has seen the post and will feed back to the staff. It's a challenging time in emergency care and your encouraging words are much appreciated.
