"My tonsillectomy surgery"

About: Derby Hospital

(as the patient),

When getting my tonsils out I was nervous and scared coming into the hospital, as soon as I met my nurse I was put at ease. She was so welcoming and reassuring and told me everything I needed to know and ensured I was comfortable.

Going into surgery I felt safe as the surgeons and nurses were so lovely and made me feel as comfortable as possible. When I woke up I was treated by two friendly nurses who helped to calm me down and spoiled me with an icy pole.

While staying the night, all the staff were so warm and welcoming I didn’t want to leave.
