"Bunbury Hospital"

My young child received a deep cut to their thumb. Upon arriving at Bunbury Hospital the Ward Clerk and Nursing staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and ensured we received prompt assessment.  Whilst in triage the friendly conversation with the triage nurse calmed me down and made me feel so much more at ease and much less distressed. She chatted to my young child and they started to smile.

After assessment we were asked to wait in the fast track area by the Ward Clerk. She gave my little child a hand-knitted teddy bear and they sobbed with happiness as they cuddled into the little bear. My child calls this teddy "Doctor Ted" and now they take this little bear everywhere, even though they have many toys this is a special gift that we'll both never forget. The prompt attention we received from all staff at Bunbury Hospital deserves to be recognised. Everyone was so lovely and we felt valued and cared for. Thank you to all.
