"Colonoscopy procedure"

About: Collie Hospital

(as the patient),

I was very nervous about going for a colonoscopy. The staff at Collie hospital were fantastic. Very clear and friendly. My appreciation to nursing staff, Nicole and Kate, in the preparation area. Doctors, Lee and Bosco, and recovery area Nurse, Megan, as well as procedure theatre staff. Very professional.

I believe an additional change room is needed in the preparation area.

Dear lacertamr89,

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such lovely feedback regarding the staff at Collie Hospital following your experience during an admission for a colonoscopy. I will ensure that the staff involved are made aware of your feedback.

In regards to your comment about an additional change room, we are currently in the design development stages of redeveloping the theatre suite following allocation of funds from the government. The new theatre and Day Procedure Unit is being designed to contemporary standards and we certainly have designed in additional change areas. We also have valuable consumer representation in the redevelopment design groups ensuring we meet the needs of the community.

I would like to thank you for your valuable input and I will feedback your comments about change areas.

Wishing you all the best.

Kind regards

Lucy Murphy
