Wow. I am sincerely appreciative of your feedback. I am also immensely proud of the whole Bass Coast Health team that swung behind the Kirrak staff and residents, to make sure we prioritised their safety and quality care.

It was devastating to us all that we had the exposure by an agency nurse but hugely gratifying that all our staff and residents have remained negative all the way through. I am sure this is because our staff were so diligent in their PPE and distancing and because we acted swiftly to implement our outbreak plan. It is also because the Kirrak team care deeply about your loved ones, our residents, and they worked above and beyond to protect them. Like most aged care workers, our Kirrak staff embrace the privilege and honour in caring for residents.

I understand how distressing this was for all the residents and relatives in the initial days, particularly when we have all seen the tragedies unfolding on the news. We have been extremely grateful to you, to all the families and to the residents who continued to trust us and work with us throughout these past few weeks. We are grateful for the time you spent with us, for your ideas and feedback, and for your kindness, support and patience. This has once again reiterated how blessed we are to be part of this community.
