"KEMH Breastfeeding centre - worth attending!"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Breastfeeding Centre of WA

(as a service user),

I had the best experience at the KEMH Breastfeeding centre and would recommend the service. The appointment is one on one. They are attentive and tailor their care to suit your needs. In my experience seeing Shawn she gave me the best techniques that increased my confidence to breastfeed at a time when I found it painful and was giving up. It also resulted in my baby receiving more milk and latching better. I'm very grateful to the clinic.

I also attended the clinic/group session at the birth centre. In my opinion, this was also worthwhile to hear other mothers' experiences. I would recommend this and then the breastfeeding centre.

Dear chamaeleonnq88,

Thank you for your post on the Care Opinion site.

We appreciate you sharing your experience, this means so much to the staff at the King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) Breastfeeding Centre. Our staff are dedicated to each and every new mother and the success you have had with your breastfeeding journey is everything we could hope for the women of Western Australia in their quest to breastfeed their babies.

I am pleased to hear of the empathy you received whilst learning the techniques which resulted in such a positive outcome for you and your beautiful baby. We will be sure to congratulate Shawn on her excellent service.

Thank you for taking the time to attend the clinic/group session to share your story and hear others in the same situation, also a positive experience proving worthwhile. We hope you continue to enjoy these group sessions in the future.

Congratulations on the birth of your child. I wish you and your family all the best for the future.

Kind regards

Jodi Graham
