This place is not what I expected. It is much better. I did several residential rehabs in the 90s and 00s, so I had some pretty messed up ideas of what rehab was about. A decade may not sound like a lot of time, but I feel most rehabs back then used to try and use shame and fear to compel people to change. In my opinion, you would be told how defective you are and told that you can't do this alone and you need to join their specific cult whether that be a religion or a 12-step-fellowship (none of which worked for me, in fact they made me worse).
Wyla has done the exact opposite. They have encouraged me to find the skills within myself and build upon them to cope with life on life's terms. I have even managed to quit smoking with no craving, nicotine replacement therapy, cults or religion necessary.
